Original Photography transferred by Hand on to Wood coming from certified sustainable tree farms. Available in two sizes 4 x 15 in and 6 x 22 in.
Photography and Designs are all my originals inspired on the iconic New York City subway signs design style and New York City Landscape.
Each piece is handcrafted and hence unique. Prints won’t have the same color or the exact same textures as seen in the pictures.
Hand Crafted Wood sign made using certified wood from sustainable tree farms. Designs are all originals inspired by the iconic design and style of New York City subway signs.
I Make them in Williamsburg Brooklyn, NY ( I take appointments via private message if you are interested in visiting the studio ) and their size is 4 inches wide by 15 inches long with a thickness of 1/2 inch.
I use decoupage techniques to transfer the image I´ve designed onto the wood. Once the transferred image is dry, I add a thin layer of clear varnish to give some shine and protect the image. Once dry, I sand the borders of the wood to create round corners and the wood finished borders.
All pieces include Sawtooth picture frame hangers installed on the back as shown in the photos, this makes it easy to hang on the wall if wanted. They also come signed and dated by the artist ( me!! ).
My name is Nicolas Gabot and I am the owner of the Brooklyn Art Factory a small decoration business, without any real location more than the studio in the basement of my house, markets, pop-ups, and craft fairs, I have been doing this for the last 6 years. With a background in photography and design, I wanted to create something that brought a sense of belonging to everyones neighbourhood, we all hold a special place for our current or previous neighbourhoods. I do this by making signs or taking photos that i will later turn into wooden pieces, I hope to represent every single neighborhood of NY even the ones people think no one is going to know. Every neighborhood its important.

I have a few pieces for Brooklyn Art Factory. My first one I purchased I believe in Bryant Park. I was able to see so many of them in person and they are all beautiful. It took me 30 minutes to decide 😃.
